Tep Tok

Ranu is one 4 researchers, researching the tattoo art of our grandmothers.

For many a Pacific Islander, a tattoo is a marker of one's identity - a reminder of one's heritage and a visual story to carry on outside their traditional origins. The art of tattooing has travelled the world over and while it's popularity has continued strongly into contemporary culture today, the awareness of the traditional practices of tattooing is dwindling. Tep Tok is a documentary aimed at changing this situation.

Belonging, Being & Becoming
Remote Indigenous Professional Development Package for the Early Years Learning Framework for Australia

This resource aims to provide Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander staff with a place to start their discussions about how they work with each other, children, families and the community. These ideas were developed by Chris Tayler while working with Indigenous people in their communities. We hope it will help begin the thinking and discussions about how you can, and already do implement the EYLF in your services. This resource is closely linked to the National document.

Weaving Cultural Stories acknowledges the traditional custodians on whose land we live, work, play and learn.

We acknowledge the cultural and ancestral knowledge of these custodians. Their knowledge and care has been instrumental in protecting our beautiful, diverse lands and waterways for thousands of years.

We acknowledge how these ancestors, have woven their stories of culture into the minds and souls of those Leaders and Elders present today, who continue to weave their stories and knowledge into the hearts and souls of their future Leaders and Elders.
